
We often hide behind excuses- we build a pseudo world of excuses made on a belief that circumstances are against us. It’s not true.
All we have to do is to focus on possibilities. Make this choice over and over again. Every time you make an excuse for not doing something or blame circumstances- take a pause and try to find a way that leads to possibilities.
The excuses of subconscious mind have to be replaced by finding solutions. practice gratitude to begin with. Complaints shut our heart and negative thoughts cloud our mind, bringing our vibration down. We give into the false belief of “if circumstances were different”.
First step into gratitude immediately. Be grateful, if you can’t think of anything then just say thank you for life, for this breath, for this day. This gratitude puts a pause in a negative trail of thoughts which can make your day an easy train wreck.
Next focus on solutions for present situation or long term situation.
Eg- if you are running late for work, if you are in public transport- see if you can manage a few phone calls and messages to get started. Most importantly rather than getting stressed about the circumstance focus on how you can effectively manage rest of the day and make up for the delay. If you are habitually late then focus on finding solutions. What makes you late everyday? Is it being disorganised in morning? Is it being unable to decide your clothes? Do you get late making brekkie? Delegate half of tasks to night before for an easy free flowing morn. Also keep all the stuff you need in morn at one place, to avoid stress- so make a checklist of your laptop/iPad/phone/ purse/keys.
More on long term later. For now be grateful, focus on solutions and forget excuses.
Excuses are born from you, so don’t becomes person who is made of excuses…
